"This thesis was written, although not without passionate attention, as an academic requirement in 1986, in my early twenties. If I were to revise it now I would make it less simple in its analyses of the literary milieu, history and texts treated therein. The clarity of my comments is not equal to the complexity of the subject, I guess.
